Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) has been named a “Top Workplace in Baltimore” by The Baltimore Sun Media Group for the eighth consecutive year and also earned a number 10 ranking in the listing’s Midsize Employer category for companies with 150 to 399 employees. The rankings are based on confidential results from a team member survey administered by Energage, LLC, a Philadelphia-based research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. The 22-question survey covered topics including direction of the company, engagement, my manager, my work, pay and benefits and engagement.

CRC continues to execute programs that emphasize an open and engaging work culture that empowers its team members, provides initiatives that promote team member health and wellbeing, supports philanthropic activities that make a positive difference in communities where the company operates, and holds events that promote team member cohesion and unity.

In response to challenges being faced by many throughout the country during the 2020 pandemic, CRC launched an Eat Local stimulus program that reimbursed team members up to $200 for purchases at local restaurants. In response to diversity and inclusion issues faced by our nation this year, the company created its first Diversity and Inclusion committee. The committee was tasked with finding local charities for CRC to support. Based on the committee’s insights the company donated funds to two local charities, Innovation Works and No Boundaries. CRC also worked in an effort to achieve positive outcomes with its residents and tenants who were struggling to maintain their homes and businesses.

“This recognition is especially meaningful this year as we celebrate our company’s 60th anniversary, while we also remain mindful of the unprecedented challenges that many of us have faced,” stated Crystal Frey, CRC’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Shared Services. “We are humbled by this award and take tremendous pride in this fact that it is based on criteria using the anonymous feedback from our team members. One of CRC’s key missions is to provide a work environment that values the contributions of our team members, respects their opinions, and provides the opportunity for their growth and empowerment. Our team members are the reason for our success and we work hard to attract and retain top talent.”
