East Baltimore Industrial Property Sells for $2.575M

Commercial real estate brokerage Gold and Company spearheaded off-market deal on Ovako building in East Baltimore City

The industrial property at 6001 Erdman Ave. in East Baltimore recently netted $2.575 million in an off-market deal. BTR Capital Group (BTR) purchased the business and the 51,000 sq. ft. building which will continue to be the Baltimore home for European steel manufacturer Ovako.

6001 Erdman Ave. allows Ovako to have a distribution facility with close access to the Dundalk Marine Terminal. The one-story building has several loading docks with drive-in access. It sits on 2.20 acres of land and is zoned for heavy industrial.

Ovako manufactures steel for the bearing, transportation, and manufacturing industries. It is also one of the world's largest manufacturers of seamless tubes for the metals bearing industry. The company has 10 factories around the world.

BTR provides warehousing and distribution services for companies such as Ovako as well as other port related businesses.

Jim Chivers, vice president of Gold and Company, matched the seller and buyer in this industrial transaction.
