NAIOP Maryland Event Features Conversation Over Crustaceans

8/27/19

NAIOP Maryland Developing Leaders (professionals 35 years of age and younger) networked with commercial real estate veterans at the Chapter's annual Developing Leaders crab feast, held recently at Bo Brooks Restaurant in Canton. Among the participants at the gathering, attended by approximately 70 members, included Mike Tait, The Howard Hughes Corporation; Vince Bagli, Merritt Properties and NAIOP Maryland President; Karen Cherry, The Howard Hughes Corporation and Sean Doordan, St. John Properties.

Spencer Perry, BBT, Chairman of the NAIOP Maryland Developing Leaders Committee, explained that the purpose of the event is "to facilitate an informal discussion between older and younger members of NAIOP Maryland about the current real estate environment." Perry, who was recently named a National Developing Leader by NAIOP Corporate, is among only five winners across the country, is pictured with Matt Bode, CB Flooring; Alex Lyons, St. John Properties and Brooke Harlander, St. John Properties.

Brendan Gill (green shirt and blue shorts) of The MacKenzie Companies takes the opportunity to discuss the importance of the NAIOP Maryland legislative's efforts to protect the interests of the commercial real estate community. "It is important for everyone to be aware of the work being done and to take an active role in the ongoing efforts," Gill explained, who is a past NAIOP Maryland Developing Leader Chair and winner of the National Developing Leader award.
