Ribbon-Cutting Held for Michael's Café in Greenleigh at Crossroads

7/21/19

Michael’s Café, a family-owned restaurant that has been a fixture on the York Road corridor since 1984, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its second Baltimore County location within Greenleigh at Crossroad, a mixed-use development located near White Marsh. Featuring a “compact version of the original menu,” the food offerings center around the award-winning crab cakes which are prepared from a family recipe that has been virtually unchanged for four generations. Michael’s Café is outfitted with a raw bar and an outdoor patio area. The restaurant serves brunch specials during the weekend and specialty salads and Korean Rice Bowls during lunch hours.

St. John Properties, together with Somerset Construction Company and Elm Street Development, are currently developing Greenleigh at Crossroads.

"When we announced on Social Media that Michael's Café intended to come here, it became the most liked post we have ever created," said Jim Almon, Senior Legislative Aide for Councilwoman Cathy Bevins explained at the event.

High-quality sit-down restaurants such as Michael’s Café become destinations among business and consumer audiences, and this operator has created an extremely well-known brand in the Baltimore County marketplace that resonates among people working and living around White Marsh,” explained Bill Holzman, Vice President, Retail Leasing for St. John Properties.

Additional retail tenants currently open at Greenleigh at Crossroads include Dunkin’ Donuts; Royal Farms; Subway; Mallia Salon & Spa; Polishes Nail & Spa; Crossroads Beer and Wine & Spirits; Thai Rainbow and (coming soon), Steak ‘n Shake.
