Organization for High-Net-Worth Individuals Taps Member Deric Emry to Lead Newest Group

TIGER 21, the premier peer membership organization for high-net-worth wealth creators and preservers, today announced the launch of its first Group in Baltimore. This new Group will be chaired by accomplished venture capitalist Deric Emry-- a former Member of the Washington, DC TIGER 21 Group who is a long-time Baltimore resident.

Through its monthly Meetings, the new TIGER 21 Group will provide Members with a unique and confidential forum in which to focus on improving their investment acumen while exploring issues of wealth preservation, philanthropy, estate planning, health and family dynamics. Currently, TIGER 21’s membership comprises more than 700 first-generation wealth creators and preservers who collectively manage approximately $70+ billion in assets.

In addition to his position with TIGER 21, Mr. Emry is a Venture Partner of Greenspring Associates. Founded in 2000 to focus solely on venture capital investments, Greenspring Associates serves as a lifecycle partner for entrepreneurs and fund managers, investing across multiple stages, sectors, and geographies. Prior to that, Mr. Emry spent over 20 years in the private equity space, serving as a General Partner for ABS Capital Partners, a leading growth equity manager with focus on investments in the media, communications, and technology sectors. Before that, Mr. Emry was a member of Alex. Brown’s Media & Communications Investment Banking team. He received an MBA in Finance from the Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
