McHenry Row Installs Eight Tesla Superchargers

New amenity expected to benefit the restaurants and retailers of mixed-use community in Baltimore City with creation of new visitations by Tesla owners

McHenry Row, a mixed-use project located on E. Fort Avenue off Key Highway in Baltimore Cityhas opened a new Tesla Supercharger station, featuring eight separate Superchargers. The station, for use by Tesla owners, is situated in the McHenry Row east garage located at 1641 Whetstone Way. McHenry Row is a project of 28 Walker Development.

McHenry Row is a 20-acre mixed-use project consisting of commercial office space, upscale apartments, a Harris Teeter grocery store and complementary restaurants and retailers. Locally-operated tenants at the project are Samos Greek Island Grill, Iron Rooster and Diamondback Brewing Company. McHenry Row III, a five-story, 75,000 square foot Class “A” commercial office was recently completed.

“The Tesla charging site represents another unique amenity within the McHenry Row environment and it is extremely accessible with our location directly off Interstate 95,” stated Mark Sapperstein of 28 Walker Development. “Tesla owners will have access to Harris Teeter to shop for groceries, as well as a diverse array of shops and sit-down and fast-casual restaurants while their cars are charging.”

Tesla’s Supercharger network is the world’s fastest charging network, enabling seamless long-distance travel when owners aren’t able to charge at their workplace or home. Supercharging takes an average of 30-45 minutes to top-off the battery of a Tesla, and the company has installed more than 11,000 Superchargers around the world. More than 99% of the US population are within reach the network.
