Company will provide service in the tristate region of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina

The owners of Norfolk-based Robinson Sigma, Inc. and Baltimore-based WPM Real Estate Management have partnered to launch WPM MidSouth Multifamily. This new joint venture will deliver a full suite of property management services for multifamily communities throughout the tristate region of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

WPM MidSouth builds on the best-in-class reputations its leaders have achieved in their respective marketplaces and sets a new standard for multifamily property management in the region. Robinson Sigma, Inc. is a privately held and locally owned, full-service commercial real estate firm, offering its services in Richmond, Hampton Roads, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg. In 2000, the firm entered into an affiliate relationship with a global commercial real estate company and has since been operating in the commercial sector under that brand. This venture by the owners of Robinson Sigma will be independent of and not associated with the global company. Robinson Sigma’s interests in this venture are represented by Robinson Sigma Vice Chairman Tony Smith CPM®, who will serve as chairman of WPM MidSouth’s board of directors. J. Todd Willett CPM® will serve on the board and as Executive Vice President of WPM MidSouth. Richmond-based William Bradley also joins the management team as Senior Vice President and Co-Director of Business Development.

WPM Real Estate Management is certified by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) as an Accredited Management Organization (AMO®) and has achieved a reputation of excellence for its residential management by flawlessly delivering on the fundamentals of managing multifamily properties. WPM’s President of Multifamily Real Estate, Leonard Frenkil, Jr. CPM®, leads WPM in this partnership and will serve as President of WPM MidSouth. WPM chairman Mark Caplan will also serve on the board of directors. WPM President James Dahlgren, Jr. and WPM Director of Marketing Brent Gratton also join the WPM MidSouth management team.

“This partnership bucks the trend of national consolidation happening in the real estate market, instead offering a regional partnership comprised of individuals who grew up, went to school locally, and now choose to raise their families in these communities -- home,” says WPM MidSouth President Leonard Frenkil, Jr., CPM®. “Our company offers owners and investors the efficiencies and resources of an experienced, large firm with the customized, agile and client-centered approach that only a local company can provide.”

“For nearly a half-century, investors have entrusted WPM MidSouth’s leadership with their real estate assets,” says WPM MidSouth chairman Tony Smith CPM®. “Our team of professionals brings extensive experience, both as property managers and as owners. We understand the owner’s perspective and are committed to add value to their investments through proactive and tireless oversight of all of their multifamily property management needs.”
