The inaugural festival takes place at the historic Druid Hill Park on October 13, 2018
Alongside the Friends of Druid Hill Park, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks(BCRP) is excited to host a new fall tradition with the inaugural, Park n’ Pumpkin Festival. Attendees are welcome to historic, Druid Hill Park(located on the lawn next to the Rawlings Conservatory) on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for an afternoon of food, fun and festivities to celebrate the cooler weather and harvest season.
Attendees are in for a treat as they enjoy fall-themed activities like face and pumpkin painting, scarecrow making and other arts and crafts, hayrides throughout the park, park yoga, pumpkin bowling and much more. A few of Baltimore’s favorite food trucks, craft and farmer’s markets, and other local vendors will be on-site with items for purchase. Live music and entertainment will be provided.
“Although summer has ended, we’re still in the festival spirit,” said Reginald Moore, director of Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. “Druid Hill Park is one of Baltimore’s premier community gathering spaces and the perfect location for our first ever fall festival. I’m happy to take on this new tradition and I hope to see it grow in the years to come.”
This event is free to attend with several free of charge activities. Food, refreshments and other activities, like horseback rides, are also available for purchase. The festival is family-friendly and open to guests of all ages.
