Former Ravens tight end Todd Heap accidentally hit and killed his 3-year-old daughter while moving his truck in his driveway at their home in Mesa, Arizona, April 14, according to the Arizona Republic.

Heap was moving the truck forward in the driveway when he hit his daughter, according to the paper. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Impairment was not a factor in the accident, officials said, and an investigation is continuing.

Heap, 37, was the Ravens first-round draft pick out of Arizona State in 2001 and remains one of the most popular players in Ravens history. He played for the Ravens for 10 seasons, then played the final two seasons of his career with his hometown Arizona Cardinals.
