Johns Hopkins Names School After Henry Kissinger

A new Johns Hopkins center dedicated to international studies has a name familiar to those who remember the Nixon and Ford administrations.

The Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs “will specialize in the long-term strategic analysis and in the disciplined application of historical lessons to contemporary international problems,” according to the JHU Hub. The center received $50 million in funding, which was the largest combined gift in the history of Hopkins’ School of International Studies.

“We are living in a period in which we are conscious of our divisions, but it serves to inspire us to our duties because the world is now as disordered as it has ever been,” Kissinger said in a statement.
