Jim Dickinson joins BVU as Director of Community Engagement

Jim Dickinson has been named Director of Community Engagement for Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU), announced BVU's Executive Director Kelly Hodge-Williams.

As Director of Community Engagement, Dr. Dickinson will develop and manage BVU's volunteer programs for its corporate partners and for Maryland residents, with an emphasis on building sustainable relationships between individuals who want to volunteer and local nonprofit organizations.

"Jim's leadership abilities and passion for civic engagement will be invaluable as BVU continues to expand its volunteer resources and programs to meet the critical needs of area nonprofits," said Hodge-Williams.

Prior to joining BVU, Dr. Dickinson was an Organizational Development Consultant and Senior Human Resources Analyst for Erickson Retirement Communities, where he also supported the company's corporate social responsibility initiatives by chairing the Grants Committee, and participating on the Employee Volunteer Committee. He serves on the United Way of Central Maryland's board of directors and has worked with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation, and The Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers.
