Network 2000 Holds 19th Annual Women of Excellence Luncheon
Internationally renowned finance executive to speak at event
Network 2000 will feature Sallie Krawcheck, past president of Global Wealth and Investment Management for Bank of America, at the organization’s 19th annual Women of Excellence luncheon. The event, which draws more than 1,200 business professionals, is Network 2000’s primary fundraiser supporting the advancement of executive women in Maryland.

Prior to heading Global Wealth and Investment Management, the largest wealth management business in the world with $17 billion in revenue and $2.2 trillion in client balances, Krawcheck was CEO and chairman for Citi Global Wealth Management. Previously, she was chairman and CEO of Sanford C. Bernstein and Company.
Krawcheck was the only senior Wall Street executive to reimburse investor clients a portion of losses resulting from poorly performing products sold by Citi and Bank of America during the recent economic recession. Fortune magazine called her “the Last Honest Analyst” and the most influential voice for research quality and integrity.
Among her distinctions, Forbes and Fortune ranked her among the “Most Powerful Women in Business,” and U.S. Banker named her the top “Woman to Watch.” In addition, Krawcheck was CNBC’s “Business Leader of the Future,” one of Time magazine’s “Global Business Influentials,” Fortune’s “Most Influential Person Under the Age of 40” and Institutional Investor’s “Top CFO in Financial Services.”
Krawcheck attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on the Morehead Scholarship. She graduated with academic honors in journalism and political science.
