Commercial Interiors Named a Top 10 Minority Company
Baltimore Business Journal names Commercial Interiors a top 10 minority company at its Annual Diversity in Business Luncheon
Commercial Interiors, recently rebranded under the Commercial Group, was named a top minority company, according to the Baltimore Business Journal, a highly regarded business publication. The company has received this honor for over a decade.
"We spend our days doing the best work we can," said Kevin Johnson, president and CEO of the Commercial Group." To have a leading publication, whose focus is on reporting about business, recognize our work, is both rewarding and humbling."
This 22 year old company has been growing exponentially over the last decade successfully completing many high profile projects. Including Maryland Live Casino, the state’s largest casino facility with the third-most slots in the nation, developing entire neighborhoods like east Baltimore’s Patterson Park, and partnering on other projects such as Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, Total Health Care, and Hilton Baltimore Convention Center Hotel and Restaurant, Commercial continues to grow in spite of a difficult economic climate.
In October 2012, the firm rebranded the company as the Commercial Group. With over 150 employees, the creation of the Commercial Group umbrella includes Commercial Development, a real estate development company; Commercial Construction, a general contractor and construction management company; and Commercial Interiors an interior finishes company.
