Johnson Development Associates, a multi-family residential developer that owns The Haven at Odenton Gateway apartments, recently announced its “Hometown Heroes” program.

“In appreciation of their service and commitment, The Haven at Odenton Gateway offers Active Duty Military, DOD contractors, and Anne Arundel County firefighters/police officers exclusive discounts that includes 5% off the market rent, 50% off the application and administrative fees and we also waive the security deposit with an approved credit.” stated Ben Graves, President of the Multi-family Division at Johnson Development Associates.  “We feel the holiday season shouldn’t be the only time to give back to those that serve,” he continued.  “And we are proud that we have instituted this program at our Haven at Odenton Gateway project.

Johnson Development Associates also achieved the first National Green Building Standard™ Silver certification for a multi-family residential project in the state of Maryland for this project.

This certification was earned because of several green features.  The 252-unit community, which opened earlier this year, features enhanced storm-water treatment; native landscaping selections; low-volume irrigation system; on-site recycling facility; high efficiency windows, lighting and HVAC, innovative insulation and air-sealing, Energy Star appliances; and  third-party inspection and performance verification.
