Milford Swim Club Sold for $775K
The storied Milford Mill Swim Club in Baltimore County has been sold for $775,000 to a religious group, The Baltimore Sun reported.
The sale occurred at an auction conducted by A. J. Billig & Co. Auctioneers, the report said citing the auctioneer’s managing member, Dan Billig.
Billig reportedly declined to name the buyer but said the other bidders included two or three developers and another nonprofit. The bids opened at $500,000.
The 19-acre property, which includes indoor and outdoor pools plus a spring-fed quarry lake, had been used a location for "The Buddy Deane Show" and movies by directors John Waters and Barry Levinson, the Sun said.
The Millford Mill Swim Club was owned by the Schlee/Gamber family.
