Kelly & Associates Insurance Group (KELLY) recently named Shawn Flattery Brashears, RHU, as Vice President of Kelly Exchange Services. In her new role, Shawn will be working with the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Committee and regional carrier partners to help recommend a proactive strategy with the implementation and utilization of the Health Care Reform legislation. She will also work closely with the KELLY Compliance Team to ensure that notifications, necessary modifications, and communications are implemented corporate-wide as well as provided to customers. "In light of the changes and opportunities that Health Care Reform is presenting our industry," said Frank Kelly III, CEO of KELLY, "it was important to us to develop this new role as part of our ongoing commitment to work as proactively as possible as an organization to maximize opportunities and bring strategic solutions to the implementation and execution of Health Care Reform." Shawn will also continue in her role as Director, Business Development & Operations, which consists of business development and ancillary sales responsibilities for Kelly Marketing Services. Mrs. Brashears joined KELLY in 2010 with more than 15 years of sales and operation experience in the insurance industry, including being a principal of a firm which she helped position for acquisition prior to health care reform as well as a Vice President of Account Management for a large local employee benefits and group insurance brokerage firm.
