The Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) has hired Merritt Construction Services for renovations to its building at 6701 North Charles Street. The project will include offices for the hospital’s third-party medical partnerships and a new location for Respiratory Therapy.

Two separate projects will occur simultaneously during this renovation.

The first is a 1,500 square-foot office build-out on the first floor of the hospital allowing GBMC to enhance its third-party medical partnerships. This will also include a nap room and a patient access training room.

The second project is a relocation of the Respiratory Therapy area to approximately 2,000 square feet on the fifth floor of the hospital. This space will include offices, a workroom, oxygen storage, an equipment room, a breakroom and a locker room.

The renovations are scheduled to be completed by mid-January.

“These projects are important enabling projects for our future In-Patient Pharmacy expansion,” said Michael Forthman, VP of Facilities and Support Services at GBMC.
