Baltimore Raven Helps to Launch Local Startup Point.Click.Switch

Last night, at a chic Harbor East office, friends, family, and fans gathered to participate in the launch of Point. Click. Switch., a Baltimore-based and Wasabi Ventures-backed startup founded by three partners, Phil Crosky, Jason Schwartzberg, and Paul Clary, with the help of Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver, Torrey Smith.
Created in 2010, PointClickSwitch.com is designed to assist Maryland residential and commercial customers reduce their electricity bills through energy choice.
PointClickSwitch.com features a web portal that provides one-stop shopping for consumers interested in shopping electricity providers and saving money on their electric bills. It is a portfolio company of the Wasabi Ventures Accelerator at Loyola University, Maryland.
“I think it’s a different company that’s local,” says Smith, spokesperson for the Maryland energy tech company. “I want to help promote the company the best way I can.”
“We want to be the Expedia of energy choice and make energy cool again. That’s where Torrey Smith comes in,” says founder Jason Schwartzberg, “I’ve known Smith for a while and it made sense to have a recognizable face.”
Smith will be utilized in commercials, which debuted Tuesday evening, and for appearances to promote customer awareness and benefits of choice for energy. The webisodes titled, “Torrey Smith, You Don’t Even Live Here,” can be viewed on their Facebook page and website, www.PointClickSwitch.com.
