Announcing the 2018/19 Bowe Fellows

8/28/18

The World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) and the Bowe-Stewart Foundation are excited to announce the 2019 cohort of Baltimore’s Emerging and Developing Global Executives (EDGE) Program. This will be the fourth co-hort of Bowe Fellows, a group of rising global executives who represent some of the top companies in the region, including Lockheed Martin, Tenable, Stanley Black and Decker, Under Armour, Pandora, and more.

WTCI’s VP of Operations, Eddie Resende, notes that demand for the program has been strong and continues to grow, stating, “In our fourth year we have come to find that one of our biggest unanticipated challenges is accommodating existing participants while saving space to bring new companies into the program.”

The mission of the EDGE Program is to cultivate and train a group of rising global executives representing international businesses in the region. Leveraging the 25-year experience and key connections of WTCI, the EDGE Program enhances the participants’ global business acumen, strengthens their network, and drives Baltimore’s international business growth. Over the next 10 months, 25 Bowe Fellows will participate in seven half-day global leadership sessions, cross cultural training, meetings with top business leaders, and more.

According to Jon Thompson, a Director at Northrop Grumman who recently completed the program, “It’s the combination of all the individuals involved that created the truly unique leadership experience called EDGE. Instructors, speakers and fellow combined to create a stew that was truly greater than the individual elements.”
