Kiera DeNoyer Roman
The Baltimore Station, a residential treatment program supporting veterans and others transitioning from homelessness and addiction to self-sufficiency, has named Kiera DeNoyer Roman development manager.
Working closely with the director of development and communications on fund development, communication, and grant and prospect research, DeNoyer Roman will also conceptualize and manage fundraising programs for the organization, with specific focus on veteran-owned businesses. Additionally, her responsibilities include managing the organization’s website, working on public outreach and engagement in order to encourage donations and continued support while also working locally and nationally to research fundraising opportunities.
DeNoyer Roman is a Baltimore City resident (Overlea neighborhood) who began working for The Baltimore Station as the development associate in July 2016. However, her career in public service started long before that when she worked for Business Volunteers Maryland as its partnership coordinator. There, she strived to connect the business community to non-profits and schools to create days of service to encourage business professionals to give back to the communities in which they lived and worked. DeNoyer Roman also served with AmeriCorps VISTA and as a team leader with AmeriCorps NCCC, a national and community service corporation. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Nazareth College of Rochester.
