The Baltimore Station, a residential treatment program supporting veterans and others transitioning from homelessness and substance use disorder to self-sufficiency, is pleased to announce that Modu Tech, a turnkey carpentry business providing products and services to general contractors, has joined its “Friends of The Station” giving program. The $10,000 commitment from Modu Tech qualifies it as a gold level partner in the “Friends of The Station” program.
Modu Tech has pledged a $10,000 gift for 2018. The donation is an expansion of Modu Tech’s on-going partnership with The Baltimore Station, which has included employing residents as maintenance support staff and providing organizational oversight by having staff serve on the organization’s board of directors.
“One of Modu Tech’s core values is to support organizations that are improving the lives of residents in our community and The Baltimore Station is doing just that,” said Scott Stevens, president at Modu Tech. “The Station’s treatment model has been successful in generating positive outcomes by helping the men rebuild their dignity and self-worth. We value all that they do for veterans in Baltimore and look forward to continuing to support the organization and its residents.”
Launched just last year, the “Friends of The Station” corporate giving program recognizes the individual donors, businesses and other partners that have committed $2,500 or more of financial support to The Baltimore Station. Those included in the “Friends of The Station” circle typically make pledges over the long term, as opposed to one-time donations.
“Modu Tech has been a valued partner for the last seven years and has been instrumental in the successful recovery of many of our residents,” said John Friedel, executive director at The Baltimore Station. “We are honored that the organization is expanding its support, which will be incredibly impactful for veterans in Baltimore.”
