Following a renovation, the Remington dive bar Long John’s Pub will reopen as 29th Street Tavern next week, owner Aaron Reinhart tells Baltimore Magazine’s Jess Mayhugh.
Those worrying about the classic gut-job-to-new-yuppie-spot move, fear not. Reinhart says he did work with an eye toward keep things the same.
“I didn’t want to change too much about it—I just wanted to change the cleanliness,” Reinhart tells Baltimore Magazine. “I know some people are worried about Long John’s changing. But I want to maintain the history.”
