Ravens linebackers Terrell Suggs and C.J. Mosley and safety Eric Weddle have been named to the Pro Bowl, a nod to a defensive unit that has recorded three shutouts and leads the league in interceptions.
No Ravens offensive players earned Pro Bowl honors, perhaps no surprise given the way the offense struggled mightily through the first two-thirds of the season. But it was a moderate surprise that kicker Justin Tucker and punter Sam Koch also were left off the AFC squad; Tucker was named the first alternate to Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell.
Suggs, 35, has beaten back Father Time and opposing offensive linemen all season in earning his seventh Pro Bowl appearance and first since 2013. He leads the Ravens with 11 sacks -- three shy of the career-high he set in 2011 -- and he also has a team-best four forced fumbles, all coming on strip-sacks.
