Three years ago, Ravens special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg gave an impassioned defense of punter Sam Koch when he was left off the Pro Bowl roster.
Rosburg didn't react nearly as strongly this year -- and was quick to congratulate Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern, who earned the AFC Pro Bowl spot -- but Rosburg did say he thinks all three of the Ravens' specialists -- Koch, kicker Justin Tucker and long snapper Morgan Cox -- are Pro Bowl-caliber players.
"I think our specialists should all be in the Pro Bowl," Rosburg said at his weekly news conference Dec. 20. "I have a very high opinion of these guys. The performances they put out there on a weekly basis speak much more eloquently than I could ever do about their numbers and all that. Their numbers support our feeling about them as well. They're richly deserving of any honor that they get."
