Selling Handbags to End Domestic Violence

Get ready to shop for a great cause this weekend, when House of Ruth Maryland invites holiday shoppers to their 12th annual B-More Bags Trunk Show and Sale on December 9, at Ruth’s Closet in Owings Mills.

The event features a sale of unique, locally made handbags, with all profits benefitting House of Ruth Maryland.

“Proceeds from the sale of B-More Bags support the programs and services at House of Ruth Maryland that help victims of intimate partner violence stay safe,” said Cherilyn Parlaman, House of Ruth Maryland’s chief communications officer. The organization’s programs include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, legal services and an abuse intervention program, she said.
