Construction begins on Shore Regional Health building in Caroline County, set to open Q1 2019

Klein Enterprises, a Baltimore-based commercial and residential real estate development and management firm, is constructing a brand new building in Denton, MD. Construction began this week on the 50,000 square foot, two-story University of Maryland Shore Medical Pavilion at Denton, which is expected to see construction completed at the end of 2018 and opening in early 2019. It has been pre-leased by the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health for the next 20 years.

Situated on 6 acres at the intersection of Route 404 and Deep Shore road, the medical pavilion will house the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health on its first and second floors, with additional second floor space available for growth. Shore Regional Health’s services are expected to include family medicine, laboratory testing, and diagnostic imaging, plus rehabilitation therapies and a community education suite. Also on the premises will be a mental health bridge program, home health care office, and a shared suite for rotating medical specialties.

“University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is pleased to be bringing this exciting new medical pavilion to the people of Caroline County—a place where their outpatient medical needs can be met in one modern, convenient location,” said Ken Kozel, President and CEO, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health. “We look forward to continuing our outstanding collaborative relationships with the developers, the elected officials of Denton and Caroline County, our physicians and health care team members and with the community.”

“We are thrilled to be able to work with the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in creating this state-of-the-art medical center for the residents of Denton and Caroline County,” said Daniel Klein, President of Klein Enterprises. “Together, our teams were able to quickly and efficiently get this project off the ground in order to bring the exceptional medical services they offer to the local community.”

Klein Enterprises is working with Eastern Shore based companies Shore United Bank, Willow Construction and Fisher Architecture on this project.
