Shopping Mall Signs Lease with Starbucks; Opens Sprint, Smoothie King, Last Stop, and Pivot Physical Therapy – Ahead of Holiday Shopping Season

Petrie Richardson Ventures (PRV) and Prudential Real Estate Investors, the owner-developers of the 140-acre, 700,000-square-foot mixed-use development Woodmore Towne Centre, announced today that Starbucks has signed a long-term lease and Sprint, Smoothie King, Last Stop and Pivot Physical Therapy are now open.

Since 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company has been committed to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality arabica coffee. Today, with more than 26,000 stores around the globe, the company is the premier roaster and retailer of specialty coffee in the world. Their Woodmore Towne Centre location is slated to open mid-2018.

Sprint creates more and better ways to connect its customers to the things they care about most. Sprint served 54 million connections as of Sept. 30, 2017, and is widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying innovative technologies, including the first wireless 4G service from a national carrier in the United States.

Smoothie King was founded in 1973 by Steve Kuhnau, with a mission of helping others achieve better health in a tasty way. In 1989, Smoothie King became the first smoothie franchise in the U.S. and currently operates in 33 states, the Caymans and the Republic of Korea.

Last Stop is a chain of retail stores selling the hottest men's and women's apparel, shoes, and accessories, including the latest styles from some of the country’s most recognizable brands.

Pivot Physical Therapy is the premier provider of physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy and sports medicine services. With numerous locations throughout the East Coast, we are proud to be the preferred provider of the region’s top physicians.

In early September, Woodmore Towne Centre opened Prince George’s County’s first Nordstrom Rack. Earlier this summer, 1000 Degree Pizza, Kobe Japanese and Kicks USA opened at the Centre, joining retailers that include Old Navy, Petco, Kay’s, Carters, PNC Bank, and 24 Hour Fitness.

Opened in 2010, Woodmore Towne Centre is anchored by Wegmans, Costco, JC Penney, Best Buy and Petco. Still available in the 700,000 square feet of Phase 1 retail at Woodmore Towne Centre are tenant spaces ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 square feet. The Centre is minutes from FedEx Field and conveniently located at the interchange of I-495 and Landover Road, Rte. 202 in Prince George’s County, with more than 1,000 feet of frontage on the Capital Beltway/I-495.
