CSSi LifeSciences™ is pleased to announce that its president and founder, Jim Sergi, will serve as a moderator at the 2017 World Alliance Forum in San Francisco (WAFSF). Co-produced by the Alliance Forum Foundation and Government of Japan, the annual healthcare innovation conference will take place on November 29 and 30 at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco, CA.
Mr. Sergi will moderate the panel discussion titled, “Cancer Moonshot”. The panel will discuss the current state of cancer research, increasing patient access to clinical trials and the implementation of solutions to accelerate cancer prevention and detection. The panel discussion will feature Dr. Bill Newell, CEO of Sutro Biopharma; Dr. Robert Sobol, CEO of MultiVir; Dr. Gregory Stein, President and CEO of Curtana Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Masaru Taniguchi, Senior Advisor and Group Director of RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences.
The theme of the conference is "Healthcare Game Changers". The premier event is an important destination for business development and known for its cross-border, cross-industry and cross-sector audience as well as its stellar list of speakers from business to academic leaders from the US, Japan and beyond.
“It is a great honor to serve as the moderator for this year’s Cancer Moonshot panel,” said Sergi. “I have been given an amazing opportunity to form a dialog with such a broad and diverse audience and to facilitate a discussion that will provide insight on the current state and future of cancer research, care and clinical trials investigating novel drugs and biologics that may hold the promise of a cure.”
“We are thrilled to have Jim join the wonderful group of speakers at the 2017 WAFSF,” said Ambassador George Hara, who chairs the conference. “In addition to Jim and his fellow panelists, we have on board other visionaries such as former NCI Director Dr. Richard Klausner; Dr. Jeffrey Bluestone, who heads the new Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy; and Dr. Daniel Kraft, who is the founder of Exponential Medicine. I truly believe it will be another exciting WAFSF.”
