The Casey Cares Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, today announced that Brad Rodier, vice president of The Columbia Bank, has joined its Board of Directors.

A Baltimore native, Rodier was raised in Sparks, Maryland, and is a graduate from Calvert Hall College High School. He went on to Elon College, from which he graduated in 2001, and last year, he earned an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Rodier, 38, has been working with The Columbia Bank the last four years, and was introduced to the Casey Cares Foundation through another board member, Wanda Smith, founder and CEO of Symphony Placements, a full-service staffing business based in Cockeysville, Maryland.

“Having a business leader like Brad on our Casey Cares team is a huge boost for our entire organization,” said Casey Cares Founder and Executive Director Casey Baynes. “Through his work in the local banking world, he understands the community and wants to be a part of helping families in his area.”

“I wanted to get involved with a local non-profit organization, and I went to the Casey Cares Golf Tournament and really was impressed in what they do to help so many families with critically ill children in the area,” Rodier said. “I have two young kids, and I hope I can get them involved and learn and understand the meaning of giving back to the community as well.”

“The Columbia Bank has a long history of getting out there, working with our neighbors and supporting our friends – so Brad joining the Board of Casey Cares is an exciting, natural fit for how we do business in the communities in which we live, work and serve.” shared Joe Durham, Market Executive, The Columbia Bank.

When Rodier is not working, he enjoys coaching lacrosse, which he has done for about the last 10 year and spending time with his family in Ocean City, Maryland. He is a retired member of the Army National Guard. Rodier lives in Phoenix, Maryland, with his wife, Samantha, and their children, Harriet, and Carter.
