Lord Baltimore Hotel Lights Up the Holidays with Couture Trees

12/10/17

Stunning display of trees decorated by local businesses and artists, plus holiday treats and live music, make Lord Baltimore Hotel the perfect destination for events and family outings

The annual Couture Trees competition is back for another season at Lord Baltimore Hotel, presenting the decorative designs of local businesses and individual artists alike. The display will feature 24 trees in the hotel’s lobby for families and guests to enjoy throughout the holidays. Winning designs will be selected at the unveiling of the trees on November 30, and each winner will be awarded $750.

New to the event this year, staff will be serving visitors an array of holiday-themed desserts handcrafted by the hotel’s executive pastry chef and live holiday music will be playing on weekends and most weeknights. Located within walking distance from popular winter destinations like Pandora Ice Rink and Christmas Village in the Inner Harbor, Lord Baltimore Hotel will offer families another charming stop on their holiday tours, as well as a tasteful venue for dinners, private parties and business events.

“We’ve expanded our Couture Trees display this year to give visitors a more heightened holiday experience that will delight all the senses,” said Gene-Michael Addis, general manager of Lord Baltimore Hotel. “We’ll have live holiday music coming from our lobby’s grand piano and dessert carts going around stacked with the most beautiful treats made right here in our bakery.”

Those interested in entering the competition must submit an original design sketch by November 17 for selection by a panel of judges curated by the hotel. Designs should be emailed to gmaddis@lordbaltimorehotel.com .
