Mac Tisdale of First National Bank named Chair and Mack McGee of SC&H Group named Vice Chair

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Maryland Chapter announced today that Mac Tisdale, President, Maryland Region for First National Bank, and Mack McGee, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of SC&H Group, have been named Chair and Vice Chair of its Board of Directors.

Tisdale has played an integral role in executing the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Maryland Chapter’s mission since 2001. With more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry, he consistently uses his expertise to motivate board members and advance the Maryland chapter.

“It is a privilege to lead the Maryland Chapter with dedicated individuals who share a common goal: making ‘CF’ stand for cure found,” said Mac Tisdale, President, Maryland Region for First National Bank. “After working with this group for over 15 years, I know that the strong leadership from our former chairs, Aris Melissaratos and Randy Marriner, is the reason behind our success. We are committed to continuing this positive momentum with their guidance.”

For six years, McGee has helped raise more than $1.5 million for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As the founding Co-Chair of its annual Passion for Wine fundraiser since 2011, he has managed dedicated sponsors and strategic partnerships for the consistently sold-out event. In his new position, he will collaborate with board members to identify and drive additional fundraising efforts for research, individualized treatment, and access for specialized care.

“This organization has a relentless passion towards finding a cure and we can point to the significant progress and connect that progress to the crucial dollars we raise,” said Mack McGee, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for SC&H Group. “Seeing the possibilities we have been able to provide as a community has been a rewarding experience, and I look forward to expanding these efforts.”

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955 with the mission of finding the cure for cystic fibrosis. The organization has grown to nearly 70 national chapters and raised more than $100 million just last year to continue funding research, care centers, therapies, drug development programs and more.

In addition to leading the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Tisdale extends his reach into the Baltimore community through his membership on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore.

McGee is also an active member of the Baltimore County Special Olympics, and was recently appointed to its Board of Directors. As the Soccer and Basketball Program Director for over 11 years, he continues to coach participants and coordinate the season schedule.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Maryland Chapter offers a range of fundraising events to encourage the community to get involved with the foundation, including its recent Maryland CF Cycle for Life 2017 held on October 8th and Maryland’s Finest to be held on November 15th.
