This is the most fascinating NFL trade deadline in Baltimore Ravens history.
That's not much of a statement. The NFL trade deadline is historically a snoozefest, and the Ravens have rarely been involved. In 2013, they acquired tackle Eugene Monroe from the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that was actually a few weeks prior to the deadline. Overall the Ravens (like most teams) make their trades in the offseason, not during the season.
Yet on the cusp of this year's deadline (4 p.m. Oct. 31), I can't help but wonder if maybe this season things could or should be different.
