Scott Plank’s Real Estate Firm Buys Up Marinas, Offices, Helipad in Canton

The Plank family has taken over a hefty slice of Canton’s waterfront.

War Horse Cities, the real estate firm founded by Kevin Plank’s brother, Scott, has acquired more than 800 docking spots for boats along the Canton waterfront, along with office and retail space and space to land and fuel helicopters, according to the BBJ’s Melody Simmons.

The developer reportedly purchased more than 16 entities at a combined price of more than $22.5 million. The marina purchase could “figure into” the expansion of the water taxi system purchased last year by Sagamore Ventures, according to the BBJ. Sagamore Ventures is owned by Kevin, known to most as the founder of Under Armour.
