Maryland lost to Wisconsin, 38-13, Oct. 21 to fall to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Big Ten. The Terps have lost four of their past five games. Here are four observations on the loss:
1. Maryland’s offense had opportunities early, but came up empty.
Maryland junior running back Ty Johnson ran for 28 yards on the Terps’ first three plays of the game, taking Maryland to Wisconsin’s 47-yard line. But sophomore quarterback Max Bortenschlager was sacked on the Terps’ next play and was intercepted by the Badgers’ T.J. Edwards two plays later. Edwards returned it for an interception for a 7-0 lead.
