Jenny Curran
Maryland Relay announced today that its contracted service provider, Hamilton Relay, has hired Jenny Curran as Captioned Telephone outreach coordinator for Maryland. In this role, Jenny will travel throughout the state to educate people in residential, commercial, instructional and public sectors about Maryland Relay’s Captioned Telephone Service. Captioned Telephone is designed for individuals who have difficulty hearing over the phone, allowing them to listen to the speaker while reading captions of the conversation.
Jenny received her bachelor’s degree in Deaf Studies from Towson University in 2003, and has dedicated her career to connecting people with the resources and services they need to live independently. She resides in Edgewood, Maryland.
“I am so excited to be out and about, spreading the word about Maryland Relay and how it provides greater access to communication with family, friends and businesses,” says Jenny. “I love to meet new people and travel, and this position gives me the opportunity to do both!”
Jenny is available to represent Maryland Relay at local community events, as well as provide free presentations to organizations and groups about Maryland Relay and the Maryland Accessible Telecommunications program. She also provides Maryland Relay Partner training to local businesses. She can be reached at 410-767-0969 or Jennifer@mdrelay.org.
