Carr Properties Taps Transwestern To Lease 7272 Wisconsin Ave. Development In Bethesda, MD

358,000 SF Trophy Office Building Scheduled to Deliver in 2020

Transwestern today announces it has been retained by Carr Properties to provide leasing services for 7272 Wisconsin Ave., a planned 358,000-square-foot trophy office building in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. This development, which is part of an approximately 937,000-square-foot, mixed-use project, is scheduled to deliver in fourth quarter 2020. Executive Managing Directors Phil McCarthy and Keith Foery, along with Senior Associate Cricket Cleary, are Transwestern’s listing agents.

“7272 Wisconsin is a world-class office property that will create a tenant experience unlike any other in Montgomery County,” said McCarthy. “The amenities, design and operations will blur the line between hospitality and office. Lobbies and common areas will be activated spaces that offer a place for tenants to gather.”

Designed by architect Shalom Baranes Associates, the office tower features:

  • Direct access to the Bethesda Metro Station and future Purple Line
  • A multipurpose rooftop terrace with indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for use as a conference facility, social event space, or daytime tenant lounge
  • Private tenant terraces on five floors
  • Second-story fitness center overlooking Wisconsin Avenue
  • Below-grade bicycle room with direct elevator access to the fitness center and lobby
  • Covered outdoor portico with lobby-style finishes to offer convenient pick-up and drop-off areas for tenants


At 290 feet, the 23-story property will be one of the tallest in downtown Bethesda and house the future Bethesda Purple Line Metro Station. The project will also include two residential towers with 460 units, 14,572 square feet of retail space and a shared parking facility.
