SC&H Group, a leading financial consulting, accounting, and auditing company, announced today that Erin Charles, Principal in its Audit and Tax Practice, has been named a “2017 Leading Woman” by The Daily Record.
The Daily Record’s Leading Women awards honor 50 women who are 40 years of age or younger for the accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. A panel of previous Top 100 Women and Leading Women winners selected the honorees based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to inspiring change.
“It is a privilege to be recognized among women leaders who are making significant differences in their workplaces and communities,” said Charles. “Working with SC&H Group for more than 14 years has given me many opportunities to grow professionally, play an active role in our expansion, and explore my volunteer interests outside of the office. I am grateful to be recognized for all of these experiences.”
The Daily Record launched the Leading Women awards in 2010 to recognize the next generation of Maryland’s women leaders.
"This year's Leading Women honorees are making outstanding contributions to their fields. They are active in their communities and are committed to inspiring change," said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. "They are Maryland's next generation of women leaders, and The Daily Record is honored to recognize their achievements."
Charles leads SC&H Group’s audit, accounting, and consulting engagements for clients across multiple industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, non-for-profit, government and technology.
“Erin readily shares her expertise to enable her clients, coworkers and the community to maximize their potential and improve their organizations,” said Mike Young, Director of SC&H Group’s Audit Practice. “We are proud of her Leading Woman recognition and thankful that we have Erin on board who is helping to shape the future of the firm.”
Charles serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Homeless Persons Representation Project, represents the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors for The Tyanna Foundation, and volunteers for The Baltimore Station and Junior Achievement of Central Maryland.
