Maryland head coach DJ Durkin didn't name a starting quarterback for the Terps' game against Northwestern Oct. 14 during his weekly press conference Oct. 10, and Durkin declined to offer specifics about what injury sophomore quarterback Max Bortenschlager suffered at Ohio State Oct. 7.
The coach did, however, reiterate that Bortenschlager is his No. 1 passer.
"Max Bortenschlager is our quarterback," Durkin said. "We're going to work through the week and see how he is later in the week and make that evaluation. You can't make an evaluation on Tuesday for a game on Saturday [of] who's healthy and who's in our best situation."
