Lord Baltimore Hotel Hosts Masquerade Ball and Rooftop After-Party on Oct. 28

10/3/17

The Lord Baltimore Masquerade Ball promises an evening of frills and thrills with a prix fixe dinner, live band and dancing, followed by a midnight breakfast buffet

Lord Baltimore Hotel is opening its ballroom doors once again for another unforgettable night of dinner, dancing and dressing up at the Lord Baltimore Masquerade Ball on Saturday, October 28. Guests are encouraged to come in Carnival masks and Gothic/Romance-era garb. A seasonally flavored prix fixe dinner will be served and a 10-piece band will play classic dancing tunes throughout the evening. At 10:00 pm, the Masquerade After Dark Party will begin in the ballroom for late-night dancing and, at 11:30 pm, the party will move up to the hotel’s LB Skybar for a gourmet breakfast buffet featuring cocktails and crowd favorites like chicken & waffles and bacon-wrapped tater tots.

Following the success of its sold-out Bubble Room event in late August, the hotel wanted to give Baltimore another occasion for indulging in the extravagant experience of a costume ball. In stride with the hotel’s French style, the Lord Baltimore Masquerade Ball drew its inspiration from the famed Beaux Arts Ball of Paris in designing a rich menu and elaborate dress code, complete with a live jazz band playing ballroom hits of the golden ages.

“There’s been so much enthusiasm among young singles and older couples alike for the hotel’s recent ballroom events, and this next one adds a whole new element with a midnight after-party on the roof,” said Gene-Michael Addis, general manager of the Lord Baltimore Hotel. “We’re hosting events you just can’t find anywhere else in the city, and a masquerade ball is truly a one-of-a-kind affair that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.”

Doors for the Lord Baltimore Masquerade Ball open at 7:00 pm and the band will begin playing at 8:00 pm. Tickets for the prix fixe dinner (menu below) and dancing cost $75 per person, which includes complimentary valet parking. Tickets to the Masquerade After Dark rooftop party and breakfast buffet are $48 per person. Guests who wish to attend both events can buy an all-inclusive VIP ticket for $100. All cocktails are charged separately. To make a reservation, guests can contact Sophia at smartyn@lordbaltimorehotel or #Eventbrite.
