The Casey Cares Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which provides ongoing and uplifting programs for families with critically ill children, today announced that Hugh Purvis, sales executive at RCM&D’s Private Client Practice, has joined its Advisory Board.

Purvis is a 1997 graduate of Calvert Hall and a 2001 graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Hugh currentlyresides in Ruxton, Maryland with his wife, Christine, and their two children, Bryce (6 yrs.) and Owen (3 yrs.). Purvis joined RCM&D, a leading insurance advisory firm specializing in risk management, insurance solutions and employee benefits, in 2007 to help expand the Private Client Practice. He brings more than 13 years of experience in helping families and business executives to identify, prioritize and manage risks to protect their assets and secure their future.

Outside of his work and family responsibilities, Purvisenjoys playing golf and helping make a difference in his community.

“Casey Cares Foundation appealed to me for multiple reasons,” Purvis said. “Being a father of two healthy young children, I see their energy, innocence and curiosity on a daily basis. I recognize that we are blessed and want to make a positive impact on the lives of the families who aren’t as fortunate and the children who may not have the ability to fully experience the joys of childhood.”

Purvis has been an active volunteer in the community in a variety of capacities but wanted to make more of an impact. He was introduced to Casey Cares and decided to focus his volunteer efforts with our programs for families with critically ill kids.

“I want to help children and families forget, even if just for an hour or a day, about their struggles and help create a memory that will be cherished for a lifetime,” Purvis said. “Enter Casey Cares, an organization with a rich history of making lasting impressions on the lives they touch. This is an organization that understands the healing power of a smile on a young childor family member’s face and the contagiousnessthat it can have. Once introduced to the organization, I knew I had found an outlet where I could make a direct impact. And I can’t wait to get started.”

“We are so excited to have someone like Hugh join our advisory board, not only because he is such an amazing business leader in our community but also because he has such a passion for what we do here at Casey Cares,” said Casey Cares Founder and Executive Director Casey Baynes. “Hugh brings wonderful enthusiasm and great spirit to Casey Cares.”
