Kevin Gausman's season is finished, and even though he had pitched well at times during the season's second half, his final start resembled many of those in April, May, June and early July.
The right-hander allowed six runs in four innings as the Orioles lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-1, before 19,318 at PNC Park Sept. 26.
With just four games to play, the Orioles are 75-83 and 7-17 in September.
Gausman allowed Pittsburgh center fielder Andrew McCutchen's first career grand slam in the second inning. McCutchen had hit 201 homers before the grand slam.
