Susan G. Komen Maryland is proud to announce that it has named Michel Jessup as its new executive director. Jessup has an extensive background in nonprofit management and fundraising for healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Komen Maryland, Jessup served at CEO of the Maryland Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, where he enhanced the organization’s fundraising and programming offerings.

In his new position, Jessup will oversee all operations, fundraising, and events for Komen Maryland, including the upcoming Baltimore Race for the Cure on October 15. The Race is consistently ranked as one of the area’s largest fundraisers and will be held at McHenry Row for the first time.

“It is an honor for me to join an organization as renowned as Susan G. Komen,” says Jessup. “Like most people, my life has been affected by loved ones who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The work Komen Maryland has done across the state has been nothing short of life-changing for many people. I am excited to join them in the fight to end this terrible disease.”
