Whatever optimism should have been rolling through the Ravens locker room after a never-in-doubt 24-10 win over Cleveland that gave the Ravens a 2-0 start was tempered by the stunning news that the Ravens lost All-Pro guard Marshal Yanda for the season with a fractured left ankle.
Yanda's impact could be felt throughout the victorious locker room as players grappled with the news of the severity of Yanda's injury.
"It hurts. He is a leader. There is not a word in the English dictionary that can describe -- well, I can't find one right now -- what Marshal is to us," linebacker Terrell Suggs said.
