Wade Miley Limits Damage, But Orioles Fail To Score In 5-0 Loss

Baltimore Orioles left-hander Wade Miley was able to limit the damage after a rocky first inning, but the Orioles failed to score a run for the seventh time this season, dropping the series opener to the Cleveland Indians, 5-0, in Cleveland, Sept. 8.

The loss puts Baltimore at 71-70, 2.5 games back from the Minnesota Twins for a wild-card spot. Both the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Texas Rangers are also ahead of the Orioles in the wild-card race.

The loss was the Orioles' third out of the last four and makes them 27-40 on the road this season.
