Residential and continuing care provider for veterans and homeless men demonstrates commitment to providing highest standard of care by national accrediting agency

CARF International announced that The Baltimore Station, a residential treatment program supporting veterans and others transitioning from homelessness and addiction to self-sufficiency, has been accredited for a period of three years for both its residential program and its intensive outpatient program. This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), has given to The Baltimore Station and it allows the organization to expand its services to provide a continuum of outpatient care and support for clients who graduate from its residential treatment program.

By earning the distinction of CARF accreditation – the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization – The Baltimore Station has demonstrated its commitment and full compliance in offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. The organization was notified shortly after the team of CARF surveyors visited their facilities and conducted a rigorous peer review.

With CARF accreditation for its residential and intensive outpatient services, The Baltimore Station can continue to serve the state of Maryland as a licensed provider of specialized addiction treatment, long-term therapeutic programming and outpatient care services, which it plans to further grow and develop.
