Several of Maryland’s Eastern Shore towns will be enjoying some screen time very soon, thanks to a feature flick being filmed there.

The Delmarva Daily Times reports production crews and actors are coming out to Pomocoke City, Princess Anne and Salisbury, as well as Virginia’s Tangier Island, along the Lower Shore to film “Tangier,” a political thriller about D.C. insiders getting into trouble during a vacation away from the city. The movie will premiere in 2019, and is supposed to include all the good stuff — sex, power struggles and murder — and some big-name actors.

Despite the name, the newspaper reports the three Maryland towns will collectively get about as many scenes as the Virginia island that’s said to be sinking into the Chesapeake Bay. About half of the movie will be filmed along the Lower Shore. Locals will have the chance to audition as extras on the island, and likely in the Maryland towns as well.
