Betamore and Sagamore Ventures have released the official list of judges who will select the winners of Beta City’s third annual Venture Capital Pitch Competition on September 28, 2017. Six of the region’s top startup companies will present their pitch to the panel of live judges and compete for $25,000 in prize money.
This year’s panel of judges features Mayor Catherine Pugh and welcomes back investors and venture capitalists from top firms including Grotech Ventures, Greenspring Associates, Camden Partners, and Baltimore Angels. The panel will also introduce new representatives from SC&H Capital and iFund Women.
“We are happy that these top influencers have decided to come back to judge the competition,” said Jen Meyer, CEO of Betamore. “Their eagerness to participate is a testament to the talent of the companies participating. We are proud to offer a platform for entrepreneurs to directly connect with some of the region’s top investors and community leaders.”
The $25,000 prize was contributed by Brown Advisory, an independent investment management firm. Jacob Hodes, Head of Private Equity at Brown Advisory, will return this year as a judge and will also MC the competition.
