Classic Five Golf Courses to Participate in 10th Annual Patriot Golf Day

8/26/17

Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, today announced all five of its golf courses will participate in Patriot Golf Day this Labor Day weekend. Since 2007, Patriot Golf Day has helped raise more than $22 million for educational scholarships for deserving families of military service members.

Patriot Golf Day is organized each year by the Folds of Honor Foundation, which uses donations to provide post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women who have fallen or been disabled while serving their country. In its tenth year, Patriot Golf Day has grown to include more than 5,000 participating golf courses across the country.

Classic Five Golf Courses will accept donations for Patriot Golf Day, from Friday, September 1, through Monday, September 4. Donations can be made at the pro shop, at any of Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses including Pine Ridge, Mount Pleasant, Forest Park, Clifton Park and Carroll Park.

“Patriot Golf Day is a fantastic way for the golf industry to come together and help the families of those who have been hurt or lost their lives fighting for our freedom,” said BMGC Executive Director Jon Ladd.  “We’re proud to again support this cause this Labor Day Weekend at all of Baltimore’s Classic Five Golf Courses, and honor those who have sacrificed so much for Americans.”
