Is Tyrrell Pigrome Closing In On Terps' Starting Quarterback Job?

Maryland sophomore quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome was the only passer to work with the Terps' first-team offense during practice Aug. 22, while freshman Kasim Hill and sophomore Max Bortenschlager ran with the second team and junior Caleb Henderson worked out lightly on the side with a boot on his right foot.

This suggests Pigrome leads the quarterback competition and may be on track to start at Texas Sept. 2, but Terps head coach DJ Durkin didn't tip his hand during his pre-practice session with the media.

"I was told one time in my life some wise words of, 'When you have a big decision to make, take all the time necessary to make it.' No reason to hurry into it," Durkin said. "We're just taking all the time we have to make a very important decision for our team and our program."
