The third NFL preseason game is traditionally the one that most resembles a dress rehearsal for the regular season, with starters seeing their most action of the preseason. But that's not likely to be the case for the Ravens' offense, which continues to be missing several key players because of injury, with little clarity offered as to when they might return.
If those players don't play in the fourth preseason game -- and traditionally, many starters do not -- then the Ravens will be going into the season-opener at Cincinnati Sept. 10 largely on faith and hope rather than on any actual results.
At practice Aug. 23, quarterback Joe Flacco (back) and wide receiver Breshad Perriman (hamstring) remained sidelined, as expected. In addition, starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley (undisclosed) has not practiced since Aug. 12, and running back Danny Woodhead (undisclosed) has not practiced since the second preseason game at Miami Aug. 17.
